Contributing to communities has always been a vital part of my life and professional journey.
They have shaped my ability to think and have helped me to contribute back. Unfortunately, there are still so many developers struggling to find a safe space where they are treated equally. One of them was me.
Personally, I want to spread a simple message to treat everyone with respect and to speak up when necessary.
I have learned so many wonderful lessons from being part of various communities. Currently, I am contributing as a Diversity and Inclusion Advocate at "Python Software Foundation", Co-Organizer at "PyLadies Bangalore" and NomCom member at "Linux Professional Institute".In the past, I have contributed to "Google Developer groups" and "Women Techmakers Bangalore".
Apart from earning my livelihood, I mentor developers across the globe under amazing initiatives by "Learn it Girl", "GirlScript Foundation" and "Founders4School". I actively took part in volunteering for a social cause here in India through the "Atal Innovation Mission" where students are introduced to STEM in their early high school days.
